Inflation in the Euro Zone Aligns With the ECB’s 2% Target

Recent forecasts indicate that inflation in the euro zone is expected to remain close to the European Central Bank’s target in the coming years, signaling a broadly stable outlook for prices.

According to the ECB’s quarterly survey of professional forecasters, inflation in 2025 is projected at around 2.1%, slightly higher than previous estimates but still only marginally above the 2% goal.

The survey also suggests that inflation will ease to about 1.8% next year before gradually returning to 2% in 2027 and over the longer term, reinforcing confidence in price stability.

Economists note that such projections allow the central bank to maintain a cautious policy stance, while closely tracking economic developments to ensure inflation stays aligned with its mandate.
